Momo (Dumplings) FAQ's

What is Nepalese Momo?

Nepalese momo are stuffed dough wraps with minced meat (such as chicken, lamb, or buffalo), vegetables (such as cabbage, onions, and garlic), and herbs and spices. The filling is then formed into little round-shaped dumplings that are steamed or fried until done.

How are momo served?

Momo are frequently served with a spicy tomato-based sauce that adds a spike of flavour.

How big are our momo?

Each momo weigh 23-25 g each.

How to cook momo?

Steam
1. Bring water to boil
2. Place frozen momo into a steamer
3. Cook for about 8-10 minutes
4. Ready to serve

Pan Fry

1. Heat oil in non stick pan
2. Put frozen momo in
3. Add water till momo is soaked half length
4. Place lid on and cook for 10 minutes after boiling
5. Add oil and cook till base is golden brown
6. Ready to serve

Serve momo with side of our sauce included in the pack or sauce of your choice.
*Caution Momo will be hot, the juice from inside the momo can cause burns.
